SJVN awarded 200 MW solar project in Maharashtra

SJVN has announced its arm SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) has won a 200 MW solar power project in the State of Maharashtra. SJVN Green Energy Ltd received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL) to develop the project anywhere in Maharashtra.

The project completion period is 18 months from signing the power purchase agreement (PPA) with MSEDCL.

The project development cost is estimated at INR 1,000 crore. The project is expected to generate 455.52 million units (MUs) of electricity in the first year, and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 10,480.82 MU.

SJVN targets an installed capacity of 5 GW by 2023, 25 GW by 2030, and 50 GW by 2040. It has a project portfolio of around 46,879 MW and is executing 74 projects pan India and Nepal.
