Reliance targets 120 GWh of annual BESS and cell manufacturing capacity; first phase to start production this year Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to expand its battery energy storage system (BESS) and cell manufacturing capacity to 120 GWh per year. The first phase of its 40 GWh annual BESS and cell gigafactory is on track for commissioning this year, with all equipment already delivered to the site.
