SECI tenders 100 MW grid-connected solar capacity in Telangana

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for setting up of 100 MW (AC) grid-interactive solar PV power plants at the premises of state-owned coal mining company Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in the state of Telangana. The project would be awarded through reverse auction. The deadline for bid submission is June 7.

Suzlon sells two solar arms to CLP India

Suzlon Energy sold to CLP Wind Farms its majority stakes in SE Solar and Gale Solarfarms for Rs 76.55 crore and Rs 22.54 crore, respectively. It had set up these subsidiaries, in partnership with CLP India, for a 100 MW solar project in Telangana and a 50 MW project in Maharashtra.

No construction permits without solar in one town in Telangana

The municipal council of Karimnagar has mandated rooftop solar on new buildings of a certain size as part of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s Smart City Mission, which requires 10% of municipal energy to be generated from solar.
