Sunkind India Limited secures long-term supply access to 1 GW TOPCon DCR Solar Cells

Sunkind India Limited has secured long-term supply access to 1 GW of TOPCon G12R DCR solar cells through FY28 which strengthens its position in India’s rapidly evolving domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and supports its long-term growth plans.

Sunkind India Limited has secured long-term supply access to 1 GW of TOPCon G12R DCR solar cells through FY28 which strengthens its position in India’s rapidly evolving domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and supports its long-term growth plans.

This development comes at a defining moment for the Indian solar industry, just ahead of the mandatory implementation of ALMM List-II from June 1, 2026, under which government-backed solar projects will require domestically approved solar cells.

This long-term access to high-efficiency domestically manufactured DCR solar cells further fortifies Sunkind’s manufacturing and project execution roadmap ahead of the next phase of India’s solar growth story.

Talking about the development, Hanish Gupta, Founder & Managing Director of Sunkind India Limited, said: “We are proud to have secured a long-term 1 GW supply arrangement for high-efficiency TOPCon G12R DCR solar cells with one of India’s leading and most established solar manufacturers. As demand for domestically compliant solar solutions accelerates following the implementation of ALMM List-II, this strategic partnership provides Sunkind India Limited strong long-term supply visibility and manufacturing stability in one of the fastest-growing segments of the Indian solar industry.

Our upcoming in-house solar PV module manufacturing facility, scheduled for commissioning this month, will further strengthen our ability to deliver reliable, domestically compliant solutions across open access, C&I, and utility-scale solar projects. This partnership reflects the broader transformation taking place within India’s solar industry, where long-term manufacturing alignment, supply-chain security, and domestic capacity creation are becoming increasingly important.

With expanding capabilities across EPC, module manufacturing, solar structures, renewable asset management, and clean energy solutions, Sunkind India Limited is steadily building an integrated clean energy platform focused on execution scale, manufacturing reliability, and long-term sectoral growth.”

Adding further, Virpal Yadav, COO, Sunkind India Limited and Director, Sunkind Photovoltaics Private Limited, said: “The commissioning of our fully automated solar PV module manufacturing line marks an important milestone in Sunkind’s growth trajectory.  The facility is designed for high-efficiency DCR TOPCon module manufacturing ranging from 600Wp to 630Wp with strong focus on automation, precision engineering, quality consistency, and high-volume production readiness. This supply arrangement significantly strengthens our manufacturing ecosystem and ensures reliable access to high-quality domestically manufactured solar cells ahead of ALMM List-II implementation. At Sunkind, we are building a high-quality manufacturing platform aligned with India’s next phase of renewable capacity expansion.”

Sunkind has successfully executed multiple solar projects across industrial rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and open-access models, with several projects currently under execution across different states in India.

The Group is targeting revenues exceeding ₹1000 crore in FY27 as it continues expanding across EPC, renewable energy solutions, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure. Over the past few years, Sunkind has expanded beyond EPC into solar structures, renewable asset management, and integrated clean energy solutions, strengthening its presence across the solar value chain. Sunkind serves a diversified portfolio of clients across key industry verticals including steel, textiles, food processing, manufacturing, infrastructure, packaging, and other commercial & industrial sectors, with a growing project footprint across PAN India.

India’s solar sector is currently witnessing one of its strongest growth phases, driven by policy support, domestic manufacturing expansion, rising energy demand, and increasing adoption of renewable energy solutions across utility-scale and C&I segments.
