Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event in the presence of Mr António Guterres, Secretary General, United Nations on 2nd October 2018 in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. These events are being hosted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The Business and Technical Sessions of ISA Assembly, IORA Meet and RE-INVEST 2018 Expo will be held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP from 3-5 October, 2018.
The RE-Invest Meet and Expo showcases India’s renewable energy potential and the Government’s efforts to scale-up capacity to meet the national energy requirement in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner.

Every day, RE-Invest will witness a new series of special 30-minute long sessions entitled RENNOVATE. Here, global icons and innovators will share powerful ideas to change attitudes and highlight the concept of conscientious enterprise and business that helps the society. Some of the leaders speaking at RENNOVATE sessions include Mr. Masayoshi Son, Chief Executive Officer, SoftBank Group, Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, Founding Director, Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh, India, Mr. Ajay Singh, Co-Founder & Owner, SpiceJet, Mr. Sumant Sinha, Chairman and Managing, Director, ReNew Power Ventures, among others.

Country sessions will be conducted by leaders in renewable energy, such as France, United States of America (USA), European Union (EU), Australia, United Kingdom (UK), Finland and Germany.

On October 3, France will conduct the first session on Renewables & Tech: Indo-French Partnership for the Planet. The session will focus on the role of technology in solving the collective challenge faced by counties. USA will organize a session on institutional investor round table on Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA’s) AIF Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) structure.

Further, the day will also witness Chief Ministerial Plenary session where Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri V. Narayanswamy, Chief Minister of Puducherry and Shri Devendra K. Joshi, Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands will discuss the crucial role being played by their states in helping India achieve its target of 175 GW of Renewable Energy by 2022.

On day 2, the EU, Australia, USA and UK will conduct country sessions. EU, in its session, will focus on trends in the rooftop solar market while Australia’s session will give details about the country as an innovation partner in renewable energy. The focus of UK’s session will be on India-UK collaboration – accelerating innovative financing & technology for renewable energy. US will also focus on US-India clean energy finance programme in another session at the event.

On day 3, Finland will share details about Finnish Renewable Energy investments and technology in India while Germany’s session will be on energy transition between Germany and India.

Apart from the highlighted sessions, officials from the Governments of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Haryana will also showcase their policy initiatives at the RE-Invest-2018.
