According to a recent report by Clean Energy Associates, China, North America and Europe will reflect some 93% of the electrolyzer capacity global market share.

A team of researchers from China and the United States has summarized the commercialization status of several manufacturers, including Saule Technologies, Solaronix, Panasonic, Toshiba, Utmolight, Wonder Solar, Kunshan GCL, and Microquanta.

Canada-based microinverter company SPARQ Systems has entered into a partnership agreement with JioThings, a fully owned subsidiary of Jio Platforms Ltd. of Reliance Industries, to supply the Indian conglomerate with PV microinverters.

The ALMM mandate reimposed from April 1, 2024 provides relief for solar developers with advanced progress in development and with expected commissioning post-March 31, 2024. It also allows exemption for open access-based and captive solar projects, enabling these projects to source modules from the most cost-competitive sources.

LG has developed two versions of its new enblock E storage system, each with usable energy capacities of 12.4 kWh and 15.5 kWh. It says the two models, sized at 451 mm x 330 mm, can be easily deployed in small spaces.

A group of researchers from the University of Lisboa and the Military Academy reported on the viability of agrivoltaics in Portugal. It found that spaced rows of PV modules combined with shadow-friendly crops had the most promising return and a payback period of less than five years.

Nextracker will supply its NX Horizon bifacial trackers for 1.5 GW DC and 375 MW DC projects at NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd’s solar park in Khavda, Gujarat.  These projects are being executed by Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy on EPC basis.

The solar manufacturer will utilize the net proceeds to expand its PV panel capacity from 450 MW to 1.2 GW and establish an aluminium frame manufacturing unit, besides meeting working capital expenses.

Feedgy’s new modules feature 96 heterojunction (HJT) cells and are available in five power ratings, from 300 Wp to 320 Wp, with a transparency of 39%. The panels can be used for gardening, arboriculture and floriculture.
