AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) for a 199 MW/800 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The company secured the capacity under SECI’s Tranche VII 1.2 GW/4.8 GWh FDRE tender at a tariff of INR 6.28/kWh.

Under the agreement, AMPIN will develop renewable energy projects integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) to supply 800 MWh of assured peak power daily, equivalent to about 200 MW for four hours.

The developer said the project will enable reliable renewable power supply during non-solar hours, supporting grid stability and meeting the evolving needs of India’s power sector through storage-backed renewable energy solutions.

As per the tender document, power procured by SECI will be allocated on back-to-back basis to the buying entities/offtakers at the discretion of SECI.
