Waaree Renewable bags 450 MWp solar EPC contract from wholly owned IPP arm
Waaree Renewable Technologies has secured a 300 MW/450 MWp ground-mounted solar EPC contract from its wholly owned subsidiary, Sunsational Power, marking one of the first major project awards within the group’s expanding independent power producer (IPP) platform.
Under the contract, Waaree Renewable will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the solar installation, along with two years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services following commissioning. The project is scheduled for completion during fiscal year 2026-27.
Sunsational Power was incorporated in May 2025 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Renewable Technologies to undertake generation, accumulation, transmission, and distribution of power derived from non-conventional energy sources such as solar, wind, hydel, mechanical, and electrical systems. It will also be involved in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of power plants and associated infrastructure.
