Ohmium, InSolare collaborate on multi-application green hydrogen project for NLC India
Ohmium International and InSolare Energy have announced a collaboration on a 4 MW green hydrogen project for NLC India Limited in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. NLC India is a state-owned mining and power generation company which has been expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
The project is expected to produce up to 700 metric tons of green hydrogen annually and will support multiple applications across power generation, industrial use, and mobility.
The partnership combines Ohmium’s proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer technology, India-based manufacturing capabilities, and local service support with InSolare’s engineering and project execution expertise in renewable energy projects.
Ohmium designs, manufactures, and deploys modular PEM electrolyzers for green hydrogen production. The company, headquartered in the United States with manufacturing facilities in India, said its global green hydrogen project pipeline exceeds 2 GW across three continents. In 2023, Ohmium raised $250 million in Series C financing led by TPG Rise Climate.
InSolare Energy provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services across solar, wind-hybrid systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and green hydrogen projects. The company said it has an EPC portfolio of 1.5 GW+ across India.
